English Finnish Dictionaries

The last years a couple of English – Finnish Dictionaries came online and I wanted to give you an overview about the existing projects:

fincd.comfincd.com > simple layout but useful. I like the ä & ö button. No other languages available. A design relaunch would be great.








freedict.comfreedict.com > very simple but functional English – Finnish – English dictionary. You can choose between exact or broad results. 15 further languages available.








travlang.comtravlang.com > 1.800 terms at the DB. Good point: you can use * like wildcard at searches. They should relaunch the website – usability is very bad. Too much commerciales.








googletranslategoogle.com > English – Finnish dictionary with live results while typing in the words – very nice.Quiet every language available. You also can translate entire documents and websites – but be careful with the results! ;-)








LingvoSoftlingvozone.com > Free Online English Finnish dictionary with a lot of additional informations at the result page: sound file with the right pronunciation, similar words & English thesaurus. Thumbs up!
